en.Wedoany.com Reported - The National Policy Artificial Intelligence and Computing Strategy Research Lab, together with Rongsheng Zhilian Data Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., recently unveiled the "Low-Altitude Economy Artificial Intelligence Industry-Research Base" in Beijing. The base aims to implement the national "AI+" action deployment, promote the deep integration of the low-altitude economy and artificial intelligence, and build an industry-leading and innovative industry-research application demonstration platform. Zhu Yuqing, Director of the National Policy AI and Computing Strategy Research Lab, and Xiang Gaozhao, Vice President of South Surveying & Mapping Group and Co-Chairman of Rongsheng Zhilian, attended the unveiling ceremony.

In his speech, Xiang Gaozhao stated that the company will leverage its technological implementation advantages, focus on the low-altitude AI sector, bridge the gap between general AI and low-altitude scenario adaptation, and accelerate the transformation of technology into deployable systems. As a strategic emerging industry incubation platform under the South Surveying & Mapping Group, Rongsheng Zhilian will leverage this collaboration to promote industry-research integration.

Zhu Yuqing pointed out that artificial intelligence is the core strategy for cultivating new productive forces and seizing the initiative in future industrial competition. The low-altitude economy is a vital component of the three-dimensional spatial economy, and empowering the low-altitude economy with AI is a key breakthrough for industrial upgrading and technological innovation. The base will focus on four core tasks: creating an AI+ low-altitude cutting-edge application demonstration window, focusing on scenarios such as airspace intelligent control, autonomous flight, and low-altitude inspection; building an innovation hub for high-quality industrial development, conducting key technology research and industry standard studies; constructing a complete upstream and downstream industrial ecosystem, integrating resources from research institutes and leading enterprises; and strictly adhering to the bottom line of safe and compliant development, establishing a safety and compliance system for low-altitude flight, data information, and intelligent algorithms.
Rongsheng Zhilian originated from the South Surveying & Mapping Group. With 37 years of deep involvement in the industry, the Group began developing industry-grade drones in 2015 and achieved independent integration of precision payloads such as multi-lens oblique photography and long-range 3D laser scanners. Leveraging a network of over 5,000 base stations nationwide, the Group launched the "Xirang" drone dock and the "Tianjing" low-altitude control and information service platform in 2025. Rongsheng Zhilian fully focuses on the low-altitude AI sector, leveraging the Group's expertise in Beidou high-precision applications, precision optoelectronic surveying equipment, and the SmartGIS platform to develop comprehensive spatiotemporal intelligent applications based on an integrated PNT system. The company holds qualifications including surveying and mapping, information technology application innovation, and a Level 2 confidentiality qualification for military equipment research and production units, providing full-chain software and hardware solutions covering surveying and mapping, IT innovation, Beidou applications, and artificial intelligence.
