en.Wedoany.com Reported - Nexus Minerals has announced the completion of all assay results from the Payns prospect at the Wallbrook project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, with final reverse circulation drilling results confirming widespread near-surface gold mineralization and a higher-grade core zone.

The final batch of results covers 49 RC holes totaling 3,816 meters, completing the Payns resource definition program, which comprised 79 holes with a total drilling meterage of 6,040 meters.

Nexus Minerals (ASX:NXM) stated that these results support an initial resource estimate for Payns, with an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for Wallbrook expected to be released in the September quarter. This will broaden Wallbrook's resource model, which currently only includes the Crusader-Templar area with an MRE of 304,000 ounces of gold.

The large-scale RC drilling program at Wallbrook has now been completed, totaling 196 new holes for 21,985 meters, covering the Clement, Payns, Branches, and Crusader-Templar areas. Managing Director Andy Tudor said the program delivered strong results on schedule. He noted that the entire 21,985-meter Wallbrook RC drilling program was completed safely and on time, with the exploration team's contributions ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Assaying at Payns has been completed, with the program providing near-surface high-grade intercepts. Drilling has left room for continued expansion of the Payns prospect along strike and at depth, and both Payns and Clement now have high-quality datasets to support the updated MRE for Wallbrook.

The latest results include 21 meters at 3.26 g/t gold from 39 meters, including 5 meters at 12.83 g/t, with 1 meter at 34.77 g/t. Other intercepts include 22 meters at 1.14 g/t gold from 28 meters, including 6 meters at 3.15 g/t, with 1 meter at 10.46 g/t. Additional intercepts include: 8 meters at 1.70 g/t gold from 37 meters, including 3 meters at 3.89 g/t; 6 meters at 1.66 g/t gold from 52 meters, including 1 meter at 4.68 g/t; and 4 meters at 1.59 g/t gold from 86 meters, including 1 meter at 5.70 g/t. These results further enhance previous Payns intercepts, such as 13 meters at 3.35 g/t gold from 30 meters, including 5 meters at 8.20 g/t, with 2 meters at 19.00 g/t.

Payns is located approximately 4 kilometers northwest of the Crusader-Templar resource area and adjoins Northern Star Resources' Porphyry and Million Dollar gold mines along strike to the south. The prospect is situated about 500 meters west of the Branches discovery, with a 900-meter by 750-meter mineralized footprint identified through extensive near-surface air-core drilling anomalies and stratigraphic continuity.

The RC drilling targeted infill of gaps between previous intercepts and air-core defined zones, tested shallow near-horizontal veins along strike and down-dip, evaluated deeper structural mineralization, and established drill density for the initial MRE. Final assay results confirmed widespread near-surface mineralization and revealed a high-grade core consistent with previous interpretations.

Drilling confirmed a geological setting dominated by felsic to intermediate volcanic and volcaniclastic units, intruded by hematite-altered porphyry. In the oxide and transition zones, gold is typically associated with quartz-goethite veins near the redox boundary. In fresh rock, the highest-grade intervals are generally linked to increased quartz-sulfide veining, with pyrite and sometimes tourmaline in the volcanic and volcaniclastic host rocks. Two opposing mineralized shoots are interpreted at Payns, dipping toward each other to form a synclinal geometry.

The entire Wallbrook RC program commenced in April, targeting Clement, Payns, Branches, and Crusader-Templar. Clement and Payns now have the datasets required to update the multi-prospect resource model for Wallbrook. Independent consulting geologist Jeremy Clark of Lily Valley International has been engaged to deliver the updated Wallbrook MRE by the end of the September quarter. Assay results for Branches and Crusader-Templar are expected to be submitted during July and August, providing data for the September quarter resource update.

Wallbrook is located approximately 140 kilometers northeast of Kalgoorlie, within a major regional structural corridor in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. Nexus holds 192 square kilometers of tenements at Wallbrook, adjacent to Northern Star's Carosue Dam mining operations and north of the operating Karari and Whirling Dervish underground gold mines. Nexus aims to advance multiple prospects at Wallbrook into a broader resource base, with Payns now a key input for the next resource update.
