en.Wedoany.com Reported - South Korea's NHN Dooray recently delivered a collaboration platform to the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education in South Korea, officially launching it under the name "USEUP." This project marks the first time the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education has introduced a business system based on the SaaS model, covering a unified office portal, email, instant messaging, calendar, collaborative documents, and mobile applications to meet the administrative collaboration needs of schools and lifelong education institutions across the Ulsan region.
Following the platform's launch, the communication tools previously scattered across different departments and channels within the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education have been integrated into a unified system. Users can access email, instant messaging, and calendar functions within the same platform, reducing the need to switch between different office systems and centralizing daily communication, information sharing, and business progress in a single environment.
In terms of document collaboration, the platform supports co-editing and processing of files stored in project public drives. Relevant personnel no longer need to repeatedly send documents via email or instant messaging, nor do they need to individually confirm which version is the latest, thereby reducing version control issues and content omissions. This functionality also provides a foundation for the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education to reduce document printing and face-to-face reporting processes.
South Korea's NHN Dooray also provides a mobile application, allowing users to access collaboration features and handle ad-hoc communication and urgent tasks while on field assignments or at non-fixed office locations. Since the platform adopts the SaaS model, functions such as internal instant messaging do not require the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education to undertake additional maintenance work, and the system can continuously receive feature updates.
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to improve internal collaboration and the educational administrative environment through this platform deployment, while promoting paperless office practices. South Korea's NHN Dooray stated that the platform has previously been used in educational institutions such as Seoul National University and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). This marks the first time it has been introduced to a regional office of education in a SaaS format, with plans to expand its service scope to teachers and frontline education personnel in the Ulsan region.
