en.Wedoany.com Reported - Waratah Minerals has extended the gold footprint beyond the original boundaries at the Consols zone of the Spur project in New South Wales, Australia, with new drilling results providing additional extensive high-grade gold samples. These results come from five holes of an 80,000-meter growth and extension drilling program designed to define the scale of the broader Spur gold-copper system ahead of a resource estimate.

Waratah (ASX: WTM) highlighted results from hole SPD048, which returned 144 meters at 1.49 g/t gold from 482 meters, including 81 meters at 2.42 g/t from 536 meters. Within this interval, higher-grade sections include 13 meters at 4.72 g/t from 550 meters, 7 meters at 7.77 g/t from 551 meters, and 27 meters at 3.19 g/t from 590 meters. This hole represents the third intercept exceeding 200 gram-meters at the Spur project, located approximately 50 meters above the intersection in the previous hole SPD009. This result reinforces Waratah's view that Consols is becoming a significant component of the larger system. Managing Director Peter Duerden stated that the latest results strengthen the case for further growth at Consols. He said these latest results include the project's third intercept exceeding 200 gram-meters, which reinforces the scale of the gold system and strongly validates the growth potential of Consols. These results substantially advance the understanding of the Consols zone and support the view that the deposit has significant upside potential not currently captured by existing resources. Drilling continues to expand the known high-grade zones and broader mineralized envelope at Consols, which now extends over 400 meters east-west, over 500 meters north-south, and over 600 meters vertically.

Hole SPD048 targeted infill drilling of high-grade mineralization, providing closer-spaced grade continuity data to support future resource estimation. The hole also returned 32 meters at 0.73 g/t gold from 191 meters (including 2.3 meters at 4.4 g/t), and 27 meters at 1.1 g/t gold from 292 meters (including 6 meters at 2.43 g/t). Waratah said the 144-meter-wide intercept is associated with an increase in sulfide vein networks, while the core interval of 7 meters at 7.77 g/t occurs in monzonite with dense pyrite-chalcopyrite veins and quartz-pyrite-chalcopyrite-gold veins. The hole is located below and adjacent to earlier high-grade intersections, and the system remains open in multiple directions.

The remaining holes increased the width and continuity of the broader Consols mineralized footprint. Hole SPD051 extended mineralization 130 meters west of SPD025 and returned 18.9 meters at 2.06 g/t gold from 193.1 meters (including 6 meters at 4.84 g/t). The hole also intersected 74 meters at 0.87 g/t gold from 282 meters (including 12 meters at 2.22 g/t), and 138 meters at 0.38 g/t gold from 617 meters. Hole SPD052 extended mineralization 60 meters east of SPD024 and 120 meters above SPD025, returning 49.16 meters at 1.41 g/t gold from 255.84 meters. This includes 15 meters at 3.85 g/t gold and 0.92 meters at 58.47 g/t gold. The hole also intersected 81.2 meters at 0.65 g/t gold from 423.9 meters (including 25 meters at 1.5 g/t and 1 meter at 11.02 g/t). Hole SPD056 extended shallow mineralization 60 meters north of SPD014 and returned 26.5 meters at 1.89 g/t gold from 237 meters (including 20 meters at 2.32 g/t and 7 meters at 4.2 g/t). The hole also intersected 54.7 meters at 0.88 g/t gold from 380.3 meters, and 166 meters at 0.49 g/t gold from 713 meters.

Waratah said these results reinforce the emergence of the Spur project as a district-scale gold system within one of Australia's major gold-copper districts. Consols is located within a broader target cluster around the Cargo Intrusive Complex, including Spur, Ironclad, Gazzards, Alpine, Homeward, and Long Gully. Drilling is ongoing at Spur, Consols, Ironclad, and Gazzards, with Waratah testing targets within a 6-kilometer priority corridor around the intrusive complex. Drilling continues at Consols, Spur, and Ironclad, while completed holes at Gazzards, Spur, and Gum Flat are awaiting assay results. Duerden said the company looks forward to continuously releasing drilling results while assessing the potential of targets within the broader 6-kilometer priority target zone along the margin of the Cargo Intrusive Complex.
