UK Builder Kier Construction North & Scotland Wins £23 Million Edinburgh Residential Refurbishment Contract

The works will involve modernization, extending lift shafts to allow access to all floors, improving building accessibility. A new external insulation system will help with heat retention and energy efficiency. The building appearance will be enhanced through new external render. All apartments will be fitted with new windows. The entire project will also advance fire safety measures, including installing firefighting lifts for access, advanced early warning smoke and fire detection systems, and sprinklers in all apartments.

Philip McDowell, Regional Director of Kier Construction North & Scotland, said securing this project with the City of Edinburgh Council clearly demonstrates trust in their ability to deliver high-quality residential refurbishments at scale.
