en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 18, Russian airline Yakutia's international charter flight R39943 landed at Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport, marking the official launch of the temporary opening of Qinhuangdao's air port in 2026. After a six-year hiatus, the airport has reopened its international air entry-exit channels, laying the foundation for the normalization and full opening of Qinhuangdao's air port. Subsequently, Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport will operate both domestic and international routes simultaneously, entering a new phase of integrated domestic and international development, and providing air transport support for Hebei Province to deepen regional cooperation in Northeast Asia and build a high-level opening-up pattern.

The route is operated by Russian airline Yakutia with flight number R39943/4, running one flight per week on Saturdays. Departing Khabarovsk at 7:20, it arrives at Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport at 10:20; the return flight departs Qinhuangdao at 11:20 and lands in Khabarovsk at 14:20, enabling direct one-stop travel and two-way connectivity between the two cities. The inaugural flight carried 98 Russian tourists, with subsequent itineraries including visits to the Great Wall and coastal scenic areas, watching the performance "Qinhuangdao Mountain and Sea Love," and engaging in recuperation and cultural exchange activities. This route opens an air corridor for Sino-Russian cultural and tourism exchanges, helping Hebei deepen exchanges with Northeast Asia and promote the construction of an international coastal tourism city.
Qinhuangdao is located in the core area of the Bohai Rim, serving as a key node city in the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and a frontier window for Hebei's opening-up to Northeast Asia. As the city's air gateway to the outside world, Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport holds irreplaceable geographical advantages in implementing the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, building a new highland for opening-up in the Bohai Rim, and constructing Hebei's hub for opening-up to Northeast Asia.
The Qinhuangdao municipal government is actively promoting the development of route networks, accelerating the quality improvement and capacity expansion of domestic routes and the exploration of international aviation markets. Domestically, during the summer travel season, the airport has added routes from Qinhuangdao to Wuhan, Changsha, Jiujiang, Guiyang, and Xilinhot, and increased the frequency of the Qinhuangdao-Shanghai route to three flights daily. In August, the Qinhuangdao-Baotou route will also be launched. Combined with 11 stable operating routes including Shijiazhuang, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Wuxi, Chongqing, and Chengdu, the number of domestic destinations reaches 13, enhancing the airport's accessibility. Internationally, the inaugural flight of the Khabarovsk route marks a new starting point for Qinhuangdao's opening-up to Northeast Asia. Subsequently, the airport will gradually launch international routes to Russian cities such as Blagoveshchensk, Yakutsk, Vladivostok, and Irkutsk, bringing the number of international destinations to five, building a multi-point direct, two-way international air corridor in Northeast Asia, and improving Hebei's aviation connectivity with Northeast Asia.

This route is the ninth international and regional passenger route opened in Hebei Province. Currently, nine international and regional passenger routes have been launched, including from Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport to Seoul, Busan, Cheongju, Bangkok, Nha Trang, Vientiane, Hanoi, and Hong Kong, as well as from Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport to Khabarovsk, Russia.
Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport will continue to optimize its route network layout, enhance service and support capabilities, leverage its aviation radiation and driving role, and inject aviation momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy. Taking the inaugural international flight as a new starting point, the airport will deepen the integrated development model of aviation, culture, and tourism, providing passengers with convenient, comfortable, and diverse air travel services, and supporting local development.
