en.Wedoany.com Reported - LenHydroproject (Ленгидропроект) announced on July 20, 2026, that it has completed the reconstruction of the pressure sewage collector from the main pumping station in the city of Kaspiysk, Republic of Dagestan, to the wastewater treatment plant of the Makhachkala-Kaspiysk agglomeration. The collector's capacity has been doubled from 30,000 cubic meters per day to 60,000 cubic meters per day.
LenHydroproject (Ленгидропроект) is an engineering design enterprise under RusHydro Group, specializing in the design, survey, and construction of hydraulic engineering, water supply, and wastewater treatment facilities. The project was executed on a turnkey basis, encompassing design, survey, construction, and installation works under a single contract.

The project is a key component of the 2023-2027 Municipal Infrastructure Modernization Program for the Republic of Dagestan. Funding sources include the Territorial Development Fund and the regional budget. The reconstructed collector will provide reliable drainage services for over 100,000 residents of Kaspiysk, as well as local enterprises and institutions. Additionally, the modernization will eliminate the risk of emergency discharges of untreated wastewater into the Caspian Sea.
Currently, experts from LenHydroproject are advancing the reconstruction of sewage pumping stations and wastewater treatment facilities in Kaspiysk. This project contributes to improving the water ecological environment and residents' quality of life in the Dagestan region, ensuring sustainable development of the Caspian coastal area and the construction of urban infrastructure.
