Entrix optimizes 8.8MW energy storage project in Poland for 2027 operation

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Entrix has signed an optimization agreement with Low Carbon for the Przeworsk battery energy storage project in the Podkarpackie region of Poland. This standalone commercial battery energy storage system has a rated power of 8.8 MW/17.6 MWh. The project has now reached construction-ready status and is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2027.

Low Carbon, through its majority-owned Polish subsidiary LC Energia, is advancing the project in collaboration with local development partner Evercon and trading partner InCommodities. According to Entrix project materials, Goldbeck Solar Polska serves as the EPC contractor, and Trina provides the batteries.

Entrix will be responsible for the optimization and market access services for the plant in the Polish electricity market, leveraging AI-based multi-market optimization technology to capture value from market volatility, flexibility, and system needs. The company has previously been involved in Polish battery energy storage projects, including the Trzebinia 133 MW system with DRI and the Puławy 4 MW/16 MWh project with RelyAssets.

The two companies noted that the agreement reflects a broader shift in the Polish market, where battery energy storage projects are transitioning from development concepts to commercially active assets. As renewable energy capacity grows and price volatility intensifies, flexible storage is becoming increasingly important for system stability and market efficiency.
