South Korea's DeltaX Invests $141 Million to Establish North American Headquarters in Georgia

According to the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the facility corresponds to an investment of $141 million and is expected to create approximately 250 jobs in the eastern Atlanta region.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp stated that as battery energy storage continues to account for a growing share of the energy industry, DeltaX's move clearly signals that the state's energy sector economy is heading in the right direction. Kemp noted that DeltaX's decision to establish its headquarters in the state and further expand the local energy industry demonstrates Georgia's leadership in innovation and emerging technologies; first-class research universities, a world-class workforce training system, and reliable energy infrastructure provide the foundation for such projects, and he looks forward to the opportunities this project will bring to Walton County residents.

DeltaX is establishing its North American base with the goal of advancing the U.S. energy transition through advanced battery systems. The company currently produces a range of smart battery products, including management systems and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven energy technologies. According to company executives, the Seoul-based firm provides systems for a broad spectrum of energy applications, covering commercial and industrial markets, OEM customers, and AI data center electrification, among others.

DeltaX founder and CEO Stephen Kim stated that Georgia has become one of the world's leading hubs for advanced energy manufacturing, making the state an ideal location for the company's entry into North America. Kim noted that this investment is a significant step in DeltaX's global growth strategy, and the company's Georgia facility will serve as its North American manufacturing center, enabling more efficient delivery of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) while creating high-quality jobs and supporting America's growing demand for reliable and sustainable energy infrastructure.

Phase one of the facility will include a 100,000-square-foot battery assembly site, to be followed immediately by the construction of manufacturing facilities for critical component production. The company also plans to establish a separate North American corporate office to create a comprehensive manufacturing campus.
