US Inox Solar Signs 767MW Module Supply Agreement, Delivery in 2027
en.Wedoany.com Reported - US solar photovoltaic module and cell manufacturer Inox Solar Americas has signed a 767MW module supply agreement with a US renewable energy developer and independent power producer (IPP). The products will be supplied to three utility-scale solar projects located in North Carolina and Texas, with delivery expected to begin in 2027.

The three projects have a combined installed capacity of approximately 767MW, with individual capacities of roughly 71MW, 102MW, and 594MW respectively. Inox Solar Americas stated that the projects will utilize its Vega series bifacial modules, specifically designed for utility-scale applications. This series is available in both single-glass and dual-glass configurations, powered by Inox's self-produced Galaxion N-type photovoltaic cells.
Inox Solar Americas believes this agreement reflects market demand for modules manufactured and sourced in compliance with US domestic content and supply chain requirements. Its US manufacturing and procurement strategy is designed to comply with "Prohibited Foreign Entity (PFE)" and "Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC)" rules, while also addressing domestic content, supply chain traceability, and US trade and energy policy requirements. The company views high US domestic content, supply chain traceability, and domestic manufacturing as factors supporting this supply agreement.
Company President and CEO Ashok Nair considers this 767MW contract a significant milestone for Inox Solar Americas, reflecting the trust of leading US renewable energy developers in its manufacturing capabilities, technological expertise, and commitment to the US solar market. Nair noted that customers are currently focused not only on module performance but also on domestic content, supply chain transparency, regulatory compliance, product reliability, and long-term bankability. This agreement demonstrates that Inox Solar Americas can address these priorities with highly reliable, high-performance photovoltaic modules manufactured in the US.
The agreement comes as the US solar industry adapts to stricter domestic content and supply chain requirements. In a recent analysis, Moustafa Ramadan of PV Tech Research pointed out that the gap between US module manufacturing capacity and cell manufacturing capacity is widening, and the risks associated with photovoltaic cell procurement and domestic supply chain development are becoming more complex.
Inox Solar Americas is the manufacturing entity established after Indian renewable energy company INOXGFL Group entered the US solar manufacturing market. In April 2026, the group's Inox Clean Energy completed the acquisition of Boviet Solar for approximately $750 million, securing 3GW of annual module manufacturing capacity at its facility in Greenville, North Carolina. The transaction also includes plans for an additional 3GW of annual solar cell manufacturing capacity, with the cell factory expected to commence production in 2027.
The acquisition of Boviet Solar is part of INOXGFL Group's strategy to expand its footprint across the renewable energy value chain, with investments spanning solar manufacturing, renewable energy project development, and international markets. The group previously acquired SunSource Energy, Vibrant Energy, and SkyPower, and recently added Vena Energy India's 6GW renewable energy asset portfolio. In a recent interview with PV Tech Premium, group Executive Director Devansh Jain stated that the group's focus is shifting from acquisition-driven growth to business integration, aiming to enhance operational synergies and extract value from the platform built through these mergers and acquisitions.
