en.Wedoany.com Reported - CEVA Logistics has inaugurated a new 44,000-square-meter logistics platform in Mably, near Roanne, France, to support the country's e-commerce expansion and enhance regional distribution capabilities. The facility is scheduled to begin operations in the summer of 2026, located in the Éco Parc Bonvert business park in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Under normal operating conditions, the site can process up to 200,000 parcels per week, increasing to 350,000 during seasonal peaks.
The platform comprises approximately 42,000 square meters of warehouse space and 2,000 square meters of office facilities, equipped with 41 loading docks designed to streamline inbound and outbound logistics and improve operational efficiency. To support high-volume e-commerce operations, the warehouse features advanced inventory management technology, automated parcel sorting systems, and very narrow aisle (VNA) racking to enhance storage density and accelerate picking speeds. CEVA stated that these technologies will improve order processing speed and service quality at the regional distribution center.
The investment will also create job opportunities, with plans for approximately 300 permanent positions, and staffing is expected to increase to around 500 during peak periods. Environmental considerations have also been integrated into the development: the building will use 100% LED lighting and rooftop photovoltaic panels, and warehouse operations will utilize electric forklifts and pallet trucks to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency.
The Mably facility further expands CEVA's contract logistics network in France. The company currently operates 27 dedicated logistics warehouses in the country, with a total area exceeding 570,000 square meters; combined with 150,000 square meters of air and sea freight logistics warehousing, CEVA's total warehousing area in France is approximately 720,000 square meters. Amaury Montay, Director of Contract Logistics at CEVA Logistics France, stated that this investment reflects the company's continued expansion in the French logistics market. Montay said the upcoming new platform in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region demonstrates the momentum of CEVA's contract logistics business in France and its ability to sustainably support customer needs; through this new site, CEVA is strengthening its local presence and becoming a trusted partner in the rapidly evolving e-commerce sector.
The new logistics platform reinforces CEVA Logistics' strategy to expand its contract logistics business in key sectors such as e-commerce, automotive, industrial, healthcare, technology, and beauty, while meeting customers' growing demand for faster and more efficient supply chain services.
