Camco Chemical Plans 130,000-Square-Foot Distribution Facility in the U.S.

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 1, Camco Chemical and RSA Properties LLC finalized plans to build a 130,000-square-foot (approximately 12,100 square meters) warehousing and distribution center at the existing Holton Drive campus in Independence, Kentucky. The project will occupy approximately 14 acres at the rear of the campus and, upon completion, will be integrated into Camco Chemical's existing operations to expand warehousing, order fulfillment, and product distribution capabilities. Public information indicates an estimated project investment of approximately $11 million.

RSA Properties serves as the developer and builder for this project, with Furlong Building confirmed as the contractor. The new facility will connect with Camco Chemical's existing contract manufacturing operations, as the company currently provides chemical manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, order fulfillment, and logistics services to product and brand companies. The project adopts an expansion approach within the existing campus, with the relevant 14 acres having been retained by the company's owners for over 15 years, originally designated for future growth.

The core purpose of this new facility is to further consolidate post-production warehousing, fulfillment, packaging, and logistics operations into the existing business system. Camco Chemical's business covers consumer household products as well as institutional, commercial, and industrial products, with its Independence campus simultaneously handling contract manufacturing and supply chain services. The project is currently in the planning and construction phase, and public materials have not yet provided official dates for groundbreaking, completion, or operational launch.

Camco Chemical has previously expanded its production and warehousing capacity consecutively in Northern Kentucky. In 2024, the company and its owners acquired and renovated a former IRS facility in Florence to increase operational space; that same year, the Kentucky state government approved another $3 million production expansion plan for Camco Chemical, involving the addition of 30 jobs. The current Holton Drive project further expands the warehousing and distribution infrastructure of its existing campus.
