At the event site, heads of delegations from various economies planted mangrove hypocotyls into seedling trays, sowing seeds and practicing hands-on, demonstrating their commitment to loving and greening the environment and jointly building an ecological home. Once the planted mangrove seedlings grow, they will be transplanted into the APEC Forestry Ministers' Forest in the Futian Mangrove National Nature Reserve, serving as a permanent commemoration.
To coordinate blue-green spaces with urban development, Shenzhen has implemented the "Mountains-Sea-City Connection Plan," linking bays, mountains, rivers, ecological green corridors, and large park green spaces to form an ecological framework of "one ridge, one belt, and twenty corridors." Projects such as the Tanglang Mountain-Dasha River-Shenzhen Bay mountain-sea corridor and the "Five Parks Connection" have been carried out to connect urban ecological patches from points to lines and from lines to areas.
