en.Wedoany.com Reported - Qualitas Energy has launched the Ingstetten wind farm repowering project in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, which will dismantle the existing 5 old wind turbines and replace them with 6 new units, bringing the project's total installed capacity to 42 megawatts.

The project is located in the town of Ingstetten, Baden-Württemberg, approximately 35 kilometers southwest of Ulm. Construction will completely dismantle the existing 5 NEG Micon NM 48 wind turbines, along with their foundations, crane pads, and access roads, and will then install 6 Enercon E-175 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 7 megawatts, bringing the project's total installed capacity to 42 megawatts.
The groundbreaking ceremony held on July 29 brought together representatives from politics, public administration, industry, and the local community. Attendees included Michael Joukov, member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament; Josef Schmid, representing the mayor of Schelklingen; Dieter Schmucker, mayor of Ingstetten; representatives from the Alb-Donau district office, as well as the Qualitas Energy project team and representatives from the construction company Stricker.
Johannes Overbeck, CEO of Qualitas Energy Germany, stated that the start of the Ingstetten project marks a new advancement phase for the company's wind platform in Germany and reflects its commitment to advancing high-quality renewable energy projects and making tangible progress toward a more sustainable and secure energy system. Christopher Koller, the project manager, added that by replacing old turbines with modern, higher-capacity technology, this repowering project will improve site efficiency and utilization of available wind resources, strengthen regional energy supply, and support Germany's energy transition.
Commissioning of all 6 turbines is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. Once operational, the wind farm is expected to generate renewable electricity annually sufficient for approximately 28,000 households. Qualitas Energy currently holds a portfolio of more than 100 wind projects, a late-stage development pipeline of 3 gigawatts, and over 1 gigawatt of projects under construction or in operation across Germany.
