en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) in the United States and Germany's GATE Alliance signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK, committing to strengthen cooperation in airport technology, innovation, and international business development.

The signing establishes a cooperation framework between the two organizations, building on a partnership that began in 2023, aimed at supporting technology testing, pilot projects, and market access for companies in the aviation sector.

Under the cooperation agreement, GATE Alliance members can leverage CVG's aviation ecosystem and innovation resources in the United States to test and validate emerging technologies, while organizations associated with CVG can connect with GATE Alliance's network of airport technology companies in Germany.

CVG Airport CEO Larry Krauter stated that CVG believes innovation happens when organizations are willing to test ideas in real-world environments and learn from one another, and that this partnership opens new avenues for transatlantic cooperation while strengthening the region's ties with one of the world's leading aviation markets. The two parties will establish a joint working group to coordinate business matchmaking, technology demonstrations, pilot projects, and potential investment opportunities, with a focus on aerospace, airport operations, automation and electric mobility, advanced manufacturing, low-emission fuels, energy infrastructure, agricultural biosciences, and life sciences.

The two organizations stated that this cooperation aims to help companies seeking to validate new technologies, gather operational feedback, and explore international market expansion. The agreement also proposes encouraging investment and cooperation in aviation and advanced technology sectors through joint initiatives and demonstration projects.

GATE Alliance Managing Director Jens Reinhard stated that CVG has been a valuable partner of GATE Alliance for years, and this agreement creates more opportunities for innovation, knowledge sharing, and market access on both sides of the Atlantic.

CVG and GATE Alliance plan to continue discussions at the GATE FUTURE 2026 conference in Hamburg, Germany, on October 21-22, where CVG Chief Innovation Officer Brian Cobb will be on the conference agenda. This edition marks the tenth anniversary of the airport innovation conference and is expected to attract approximately 250 international representatives from the airport technology sector.
