Novosibirsk Hydroelectric Power Plant begins major overhaul of No. 1 hydroelectric generating unit

During the maintenance period, technicians will disassemble the rotor and runner of the hydro-generator, perform scraping and lapping on the thrust bearing mirror plate, and re-wedge the stator. Defect detection and troubleshooting of the main pressure valve, bushings, and the oil head rod are key focuses of this overhaul. The critical components of the runner will be repaired under factory conditions to ensure the quality of component restoration.

The repair work is carried out by maintenance personnel of LLC "Gidroremont-VKK" (ООО «Гидроремонт-ВКК») under the supervision of the plant's technical department. This comprehensive overhaul plan aims to restore the equipment to factory parameters while improving operational reliability.

Alexander Kholodov, Director of the Novosibirsk Hydroelectric Power Plant, stated that this major overhaul is a key item in the 2026–2027 production plan, and the restoration of all components and factory repair of parts will ensure stable power supply to consumers in the Novosibirsk Region and maintain stable operation of the plant during peak load periods.
