The auction covers both road and rail transportation modes, involves multiple coal grades, and is open to a wide range of industrial consumers.

In terms of cluster-wise allocation, the Chhal cluster emerges as the largest single supply source in this auction with a volume of 300,000 tonnes. This cluster includes 100,000 tonnes of coal transported by road at a notified price of INR 1,184 per tonne, and 200,000 tonnes of G15 grade coal transported via the Chhal railway silo at a notified price of INR 737 per tonne. All supplies originate from the Chhal opencast mine, giving this cluster an advantage in both pricing and supply volume.

The Jagannathpur G11 cluster offers 80,000 tonnes, of which 30,000 tonnes are transported by road and 50,000 tonnes by rail. The representative notified price is INR 1,188 per tonne, with a floor price of INR 1,426 per tonne, and the coal is sourced from the Jagannathpur mining area.

For premium underground coal, the Beherabandh cluster is allocated 24,000 tonnes, all transported by road, with a representative notified price of INR 1,931 per tonne. Supplies will come from Beherabandh, with additional road loading points at West JKD, Haldibari, Rajnagar, and Kurasia mines at a notified price of INR 2,540 per tonne. The Dhelwadih cluster offers an additional 4,000 tonnes by road at the same notified price of INR 1,931 per tonne. The Khairaha cluster contributes 40,000 tonnes by road, with a representative notified price of INR 1,931 per tonne, sourced from the Amlai, Sharda HW, Rampur Batura, Bangwar, Damini, Khairaha, and Rajendra mines, of which G6 grade has a notified price of INR 2,761 per tonne.

For G13 grade, the Saraipalli cluster is allocated 100,000 tonnes, all transported by road, with a representative notified price of INR 1,016 per tonne, making it one of the largest single-grade road supply offerings in this auction.

Within G6 grade, the Sharda cluster accounts for 44,000 tonnes by road, with a representative notified price of INR 2,761 per tonne. Of this, 40,000 tonnes come from the Sharda mine, while the remaining 4,000 tonnes are sourced from the Amlai, Bangwar, Damini, Khairaha, Rajendra, and Rampur Batura mines and transported by rail.

The Churcha cluster is one of the highest-value supplies in this auction, with a total volume of 95,000 tonnes, of which 15,000 tonnes are transported by road and 80,000 tonnes via the Churcha railway siding, at a representative notified price of INR 3,449 per tonne.

This auction offers a combined supply of premium underground coal and high-yield opencast coal through both road and rail modes. Competitive prices and ample supply in the G13 and G14 grades are likely to attract stronger participation, while demand for premium-grade coal is expected to remain selective amid cautious industrial purchasing.
