Titanium dioxide segment revenue was $700 million, also up 19% year-over-year. Sales volumes increased 18% year-over-year, while price and product mix remained flat compared to the second quarter of 2025. Sequentially, titanium dioxide revenue increased 14% from the first quarter, with volumes up 9% and price and product mix improving 5%. Compared to the first quarter, titanium dioxide price and product mix improved 5% sequentially but remained flat year-over-year.
The company reported a GAAP net loss of $171 million for the quarter, which included a $103 million tax valuation allowance. Adjusted EBITDA was $73 million, down 22% year-over-year.
Tronox stated that the additional titanium dioxide price increases announced in the second quarter are now in effect. For the third quarter, the company expects titanium dioxide prices to increase by a mid-single-digit percentage sequentially, while volumes are expected to decline by a mid-single-digit percentage sequentially due to normal seasonal patterns.
Tronox is a vertically integrated producer of titanium dioxide pigments, which are used in paints, coatings, and other applications to provide opacity, brightness, and durability.
