en.Wedoany.com Reported - At 10:00 local time on August 14, the new roller press combined grinding system at Huaxin Building Materials Group's Tanzania Mtwara Company was officially put into operation, increasing the company's daily cement grinding and dispatch capacity to 12,000 tons, with annual cement production capacity exceeding 3.5 million tons.

This project is another capacity expansion and technical renovation project implemented by Mtwara Company following the commissioning of its Phase II clinker production line. After the combined grinding system was put into operation, cement grinding efficiency improved, unit power consumption decreased, and clinker capacity release was better matched; the stability of cement strength and construction adaptability were simultaneously improved, serving various scenarios such as civil construction, prefabricated components, mixing stations, and major infrastructure projects, providing a reliable supply of building materials for Tanzania.

Relying on product quality and after-sales service systems, the Huaxin Building Materials brand has built trust among local industrial and civil customers, including prefabricated component plants and mixing stations. National-level projects such as the Kidunda Dam, the Tanga Port expansion, the SGR railway, the Kigoma Airport renovation and expansion, the Arusha National Stadium, and the East African International Conference Center have all adopted Huaxin cement and related products. Mtwara Company has won the "Best Cement Brand" award from the East African Building and Construction Association (EABC) for two consecutive years. In February 2025, Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan visited the company and unveiled the Phase II kiln line, acknowledging Huaxin Building Materials Group's contributions to industrial development and employment promotion in Tanzania.

The completion and commissioning of this roller press combined grinding system is another case of Huaxin Building Materials Group implementing capacity expansion and technical renovation at its overseas plants, leveraging its core equipment manufacturing and process technology advantages, and also marks a new stage in its production capacity layout and localized operations in Africa. Huaxin Building Materials Group stated that it will continue to deepen localized operations and participate in local infrastructure construction and economic and social development.

Mtwara Company is the first project of Huaxin Building Materials Group in Africa. In 2019, the Group completed the equity acquisition and took over operations, restoring production of the production line that had been idle for years through technical renovation, with cement products officially launched in 2021. In January 2024, the Phase II 4,000-ton-per-day new dry-process cement clinker production line, along with a supporting 15 MW biomass power plant, was ignited and put into operation, providing more than 1,000 local jobs, making Mtwara Company the enterprise with the largest cement and clinker production capacity in Tanzania.
