Emerson to Showcase Branson Welding and Joining Technologies at MSV 2026 in Czech Republic

Co-located with PLASTEX and the WELDING Technology Fair, MSV is a key industrial exhibition in Central Europe, bringing together manufacturers and engineering experts from the region.

For manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) processing plastics and metals, consistent weld quality and precision are essential to maintaining competitiveness, while also requiring rapid adaptation to changes in new materials, part designs, and production volumes. Emerson's booth, located at Stand 55 in Hall G1, will feature the Branson Polaris ultrasonic welding platform, laser and thermal staking technologies, automation solutions, and Industry 4.0 connectivity gateways. These solutions target multiple application sectors, including automotive, medical devices, consumer electronics, and packaging, helping manufacturers optimize joining processes to improve throughput, machine uptime, and product quality. Visitors can engage with Emerson engineers on site, watch equipment demonstrations, and explore the full highlights of the Branson welding and joining product line.
The Branson Polaris advanced ultrasonic welding system will demonstrate its highly configurable design at the booth. The platform consists of a power supply, controller, and actuator that can be flexibly combined according to the application, allowing manufacturers to start with a benchtop system for development and proof-of-concept, then scale up to fully automated production lines. Live demonstrations will showcase real-time process data and secure connectivity to higher-level systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs). These capabilities help operators monitor equipment performance, supporting continuous process improvement, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) management, and validation efforts in regulated environments.
The GPX PulseStaker demonstration will showcase PulseStaking thermal staking technology. This process uses collaborative robots to join complex, delicate, and heat-sensitive components to plastic molded parts, protecting adjacent elements through localized heating and cooling. It operates without vibration, particulates, or burn marks, while ensuring joint quality and product appearance and reducing energy consumption. The platform offers greater design freedom for joining dissimilar materials, complex 3D geometries, and fragile components such as sensors and PCB boards.
The Branson GLX-1 laser welder will demonstrate simultaneous through-transmission infrared® (STTlr®) laser welding technology for processing small plastic parts. The compact servo control system delivers high-strength, high-quality welds while balancing speed and flexibility. The equipment offers optional OPC-UA and EtherNet/IP data interfaces to meet the automation and data exchange requirements of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT, Industry 4.0). As part of the GLX product line, the platform is scalable to larger part sizes and a wider range of applications.
In the automation equipment area, Branson engineers will showcase fully automated welding and assembly systems customized around core joining technologies. These turnkey solutions encompass integrated feeding and handling, multi-station assembly cells, and more, designed according to each customer's specific parts, processes, and production goals, aiming to increase throughput and repeatability while reducing manual labor and cycle times.
The connectivity gateway display area will present how Branson welders integrate with smart factory systems. The Data Interface Gateway (DIG) connects up to 10 welders to the customer's IT network via OPC-UA, automatically identifying connected devices and providing status and process data, while also supporting machine control from the production system side. The Fieldbus Interface Gateway (FIG) connects Branson equipment to production lines or automation controllers via fieldbus, reporting status and process data to the master station and controlling up to 10 welders. The Service Interface Gateway (SIG) provides secure remote access via VPN for online support, diagnostics, and software updates from Emerson's service organization, while also offering features such as synchronization and backup of tool recipes, machine users, and date/time across multiple devices. These capabilities will be demonstrated centrally through a visual interface at the show.
