en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 25, the first vessel N1242 of the 64,000-ton bulk carrier series, built by Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. for Zhejiang Shipping Group and under construction survey by the Zhejiang Branch of China Classification Society (CCS), was successfully delivered.

The M/V "HG PECEM" has an overall length of 199.9 meters and adopts the latest design from COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Design & Research Institute. Its Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) meets the requirements of Phase 3, with reserved interfaces for methanol fuel application. All economic and environmental indicators rank among the leading levels of similar vessel types, making it another example of CCS's commitment to green and low-carbon development and its implementation of the "green transformation" strategy.

During the construction period, the project site endured prolonged high temperatures and severe typhoons. The project team of CCS Zhejiang Branch seized available working windows, optimized construction organization, and worked overtime to ensure project progress. With "joint Party building for the project" as the cornerstone, the team collaborated closely with the shipowner and shipyard, scientifically optimized the survey and inspection procedures, and jointly promoted improvements in both production efficiency and benefits through professional and efficient survey services.

The successful delivery of the M/V "HG PECEM" is another achievement of the Zhejiang Branch's deep integration into the Yangtze River Delta integrated development strategy. In recent years, the Zhejiang Branch and Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry have continuously deepened cooperation, carrying out practical collaboration in key areas such as green and intelligent ship type development, intelligent manufacturing upgrades, and digital survey technologies. Going forward, the Branch will continue to provide excellent technical support and survey services to the shipping and shipbuilding industries in its jurisdiction, contributing to the high-quality development of Zhejiang's marine economy.
