en.Wedoany.com Reported - JinkoSolar, a photovoltaic module manufacturer, recently signed a module supply agreement with a renewable energy developer in Greece to supply 176.14MW of Tiger series N-type high-efficiency bifacial modules for the construction of a large-scale ground-mounted power plant in central Greece.

Central Greece is characterized by mountainous and hilly terrain, with large power plants typically sited at the junction of slopes and valleys where the topography is notably undulating. During the early morning and dusk hours, mutual shading between array rows and mountain reflections frequently overlap; in the afternoon, cumulus clouds formed by thermal convection move rapidly, casting shadows over the arrays while causing intense fluctuations in irradiance within short periods. Such conditions impose high demands on the modules' anti-shading capability, low-light response, and rear-side power generation gain.

The Tiger module features a bifaciality of 85±5%. The surface in central Greece is dominated by light-colored limestone and exposed gravel, providing favorable reflection conditions. The module's rear side can generate power by utilizing ground-reflected light and sky diffuse light, delivering additional power output under both strong midday irradiance and low-angle morning/evening sunlight. When combined, the front-side power generation efficiency and rear-side gain enhance the utilization of solar resources at the site.

Shading sources at slope-mounted power plants are more complex than on flat terrain, including ridge projections during morning and evening hours, inter-row mutual shading, and irregular shading caused by rapidly moving afternoon cumulus clouds. The Tiger module, through a reconfigured cell layout topology and electrical architecture, delivers a multiplied improvement in anti-shading performance. When partially covered by mountain or cloud shadows, the module maintains a high current output internally, minimizing string-level mismatch losses caused by shading.

Central Greece's mountainous areas experience frequent morning mist, and dusk sunlight angles are low, making low-irradiance periods part of the daily power generation curve. The Tiger module maintains a high proportion of power output under low-irradiance conditions, with low-light response superior to conventional products. It continues to deliver meaningful power during dawn and dusk hours, extending the effective daily generation time.
