Tvaksas Renewable Signs PPA for 20MW Solar Project in India

en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of Nagaland, India, announced that the state's power department has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tvaksas Renewable Pvt. Ltd. for the construction of a 20MW solar power plant in Tizit, Mon district. The project is planned to be located in Lapa Lampong village and is currently in the PPA signing and development stage.

The first phase of the project has an installed capacity of 20MW, with a PPA term of 25 years and an agreed feed-in tariff of INR 4.12 per kWh, which has been approved by the Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission. According to the current plan, the first phase is expected to be commissioned within 20 months.

Tvaksas Renewable plans to gradually expand the local solar project capacity to 100MW in subsequent phases. Company data also shows that the 20MW first phase is expected to supply approximately 35 million kWh of electricity to the local grid annually.

Nagaland's current peak power demand is approximately 203MW, and the state power department expects it to rise to 482MW by fiscal year 2034–2035. The state government is currently advancing both self-owned generation projects and private development projects, and Tvaksas Renewable has submitted its implementation plan for the project to the government.
