en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, the 300,000-ton crude oil terminal supporting Huajin Aramco successfully completed all trial voyage procedures, including tanker berthing and simulated oil unloading, marking the successful conclusion of its first ballast trial voyage. The navigability of the crude oil terminal has been fully verified, clearing the "last mile" for the arrival and unloading of the first cargo of crude oil and the trial start-up of the first production unit.

The success of the ballast trial voyage marks another substantial step forward in Huajin Aramco's production preparation efforts, creating a milestone in the independent full-process practical operation of its own crude oil terminal. It not only comprehensively verified the operational status of supporting hardware facilities such as the terminal channel, berths, and loading/unloading equipment, but also fully tested the entire chain of management systems covering dispatch command, on-site operations, safety control, and ecological environmental protection, accumulating a complete set of practical operational experience for future routine crude oil unloading. At the same time, it also marks the official entry of Panjin Port into the "300,000-ton mega-vessel era," creating a historic first for Panjin City in receiving ultra-large crude carriers and filling a critical gap in the development of the region's port-adjacent industries.

According to reports, the crude oil berth where the trial voyage was conducted is an important crude oil supply supporting facility for the Huajin Aramco Fine Chemical and Raw Materials Project. The berth has a total length of 430 meters and can safely accommodate large tankers ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 tons, with a designed unloading capacity at an advanced level among domestic ports. This trial voyage was carried out using a ballast 300,000-ton VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier), accompanied by dedicated escort vessels on standby. Prior to entering the port, all preparations including pilotage, drone patrol, and electronic monitoring were completed in advance, with multiple tugboats coordinated to ensure safe operations. After the tanker entered the port and berthed along the planned route, Huajin Aramco, together with Liaodong Bay Port Company, successively carried out joint inspection, ship-to-shore safety verification, loading arm connection, air tightness testing, and simulated oil unloading operations. Upon completion of these operations, tank cleaning, tank inspection, equipment recovery, and unmooring and departure were properly carried out.

In the next step, Huajin Aramco will systematically review the entire ballast trial voyage process, sort out and optimize the standard operating procedures for the entire chain of crude oil arrival, unloading, and transportation, and make thorough preparations to welcome the arrival of the first cargo of crude oil.
