China Achieves Another Major Breakthrough in Copper-Gold Exploration

en.Wedoany.com Reported - According to WeDoAny.com, citing the Ministry of Natural Resources, China's new round of strategic mineral exploration has achieved another landmark result, with a major breakthrough in copper-gold exploration in the Chating area of Xuancheng City, Anhui Province, which is expected to form a new large-scale copper-gold resource base in East China.

Located in the hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, the Chating copper-gold deposit is one of the most significant copper-gold deposits discovered in China in recent years with ultra-large-scale potential. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, the deep ore body has not yet been fully delineated, and the main ore body identified so far measures approximately 1.2 kilometers in length and 1.1 kilometers in width. Preliminary estimates indicate that the potential copper resources exceed the scale of several large copper mines each with over 500,000 tonnes, and the potential gold resources exceed the scale of more than ten large gold mines each with over 20 tonnes, with considerable room for further growth in reserves.

Copper is widely used in industries such as photovoltaics, wind power, and new energy vehicles. In the future, the Chating copper-gold mine can supply raw materials to smelting and processing industries in East China at close range, serving as a key resource fulcrum to break the bottleneck of copper-gold resource shortages in East China and support regional integrated development. It will significantly enhance the copper-gold self-sufficiency and resource continuity capacity of the Yangtze River Delta and the eastern economic belt.
