First 160-Ton U-Beam Installed in Gurugram Metro Expansion Project

en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Gurugram Metro Expansion Project has completed the installation of its first U-beam, weighing 160 tons, positioned at piers 26/27 near Cyber Park. Haryana's Minister of Industries and Commerce, Rao Narbir Singh, witnessed the lifting operation on site, marking the project's transition into a construction phase focused on connectivity, safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The lifting operation utilized 400-ton and 600-ton hydraulic cranes to ensure the heavy precast structure was accurately positioned in accordance with established technical specifications and safety regulations. The Minister performed a puja ceremony before the operation commenced, following which the first U-beam was lifted in his presence.

Singh stated that the installation of the first U-beam signifies a new phase at the construction site. The expansion project is one of the Haryana Government's top priorities, with the objective of providing modernized and improved public transport facilities for Gurugram, ensuring civic amenities expand in tandem with urban development. He added that while accelerating construction, strict adherence to quality and safety standards remains essential; the successful installation of the first U-beam has injected new momentum into the project, and other construction activities will be expedited in the coming days in accordance with the established work plan.
