en.Wedoany.com Reported - The commercial and industrial energy storage project of the Chuzhou Intercity Railway Control Center in Anhui, China, has recently been successfully implemented and put into operation. The project has a total scale of 1MW/2.088MWh, fully equipped with Trina Storage Elementa 2 series commercial and industrial energy storage systems, and adopts a professional liquid-cooling energy storage solution. It is tailored to the dedicated power consumption scenarios of rail transit public buildings, providing power assurance for the intercity railway control center.

The intercity railway control center undertakes functions such as line dispatching, equipment operation and maintenance, and hub management and control. It is the "nerve center" of rail transit. Key commands such as train dispatching, signal command, and communication monitoring are all issued from here. Equipment such as the dispatching hall, data room, and communication base stations operates 24 hours a day without interruption, with continuous and stable power loads, imposing stringent requirements on power supply reliability, power quality, and equipment safety.

Once the mains power is interrupted, it may affect the signal system and dispatching communications, thereby threatening the operational safety of the entire line. Therefore, the energy storage needs of the control center combine both cost reduction and power assurance attributes: it is necessary to reduce electricity costs in daily operation and ensure power safety at critical moments. At the same time, control centers are mostly located in urban built-up areas with limited available space, which imposes requirements on the space efficiency of energy storage equipment.

Trina Storage Potentia Elementa 2 adopts a 261kWh single-cabinet large-capacity design and a new energy concentration architecture, reducing the station footprint by 38.1% compared with traditional solutions and increasing energy density by more than 55.9%, thereby alleviating the problem of limited land resources. While space efficiency is improved, the product's safety configuration has not been reduced. The product builds full-level safety protection from cells and modules to the entire cabin, and is equipped with A-grade premium automotive-grade 314Ah Trina cells and self-developed Pack Pro modules, along with module-level standardized fire protection design and UL94-5VA flame blocking.

At the system level, Elementa 2 features a millisecond-level fuse mechanism, which can combine real-time early warning of more than 200 risk factors across the entire cabin, and is equipped with multi-layer protection such as water firefighting and aerosols, preventing thermal runaway risks at the source in highly sensitive areas.

In terms of operation and maintenance, Elementa 2 is equipped with the Trina Smart Cloud Control System, supporting one-click self-inspection and completing fully automatic installation and commissioning in 10 minutes. It can remotely complete system upgrades, parameter debugging, and status monitoring; relying on the cloud platform, it enables fault recording, real-time diagnosis, and intelligent early warning, and supports multi-port collaborative management and cloud-edge data backup to meet the needs of unattended operation, intelligent dispatching, and stable operation and maintenance.

In terms of environmental adaptability, Elementa 2 can operate stably in an ultra-wide temperature range of -30~55℃, with C4-grade anti-corrosion and IP55 high-level protection, and can cope with complex environments such as outdoor temperature differences, moisture, and dust. The equipment's operating noise is ≤72dB, which will not interfere with the control center's office and dispatching operations or the surrounding environment, making it suitable for complex working conditions such as control centers, commercial and industrial sites, parks, and factories.

The implementation of this intercity railway control center energy storage project is an application case of Elementa 2 in the fields of rail transit and public infrastructure, verifying the product's safety, adaptability, and practicality in public scenarios. Trina Solar will continue to deeply cultivate energy storage segmented scenarios such as urban public infrastructure, transportation hubs, and public buildings, and promote energy conservation and carbon reduction in urban infrastructure.
