India's Stallion 1,200 t/y Semiconductor and Specialty Gas Facility Commences Commercial Operation
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 21, Stallion India Fluorochemicals' semiconductor and specialty gas debulking and blending facility in Khalapur, Maharashtra, India, officially commenced commercial operation. The facility is located in Lohop Village, Raigad District, with a designed comprehensive handling capacity of 1,200 t/y. Its business scope includes debulking and blending of semiconductor and specialty gases, as well as cryogenic container and ISO tank handling. The company completed plant and equipment installation at the end of August, started trial operation and commissioning in the first week of September, and transitioned to commercial operation after completing the relevant work.
The project is one of the intended uses of proceeds from Stallion India Fluorochemicals' initial public offering. The company previously stated in its prospectus that the estimated capital expenditure for the Khalapur semiconductor and specialty gas debulking and blending facility was approximately INR 291.55 million, planned to be funded by IPO proceeds. The project construction is independent of the company's existing refrigerant facilities, and is mainly equipped with dedicated handling equipment for semiconductor gases and other specialty gases.
The facility's 1,200 t/y is the comprehensive installed handling capacity for the semiconductor and specialty gas business. The company's previous annual reports and operating materials listed the liquid helium handling capacity in the Khalapur expansion project as approximately 1,200 t/y, and included liquid helium, semiconductor gases, and specialty gases in the new business scope at the site. The regulatory announcement submitted on September 19 uniformly described the officially commissioned facility as a "Semiconductor & Specialty Gas debulking and blending facility," with 1,200 t/y as the facility's comprehensive installed capacity.
Stallion's previous Khalapur production base was mainly used for debulking and blending of refrigerants such as HFCs and HFOs. The company's prospectus materials show that different semiconductor and specialty gases require corresponding dedicated machinery, storage, and handling systems, and the existing refrigerant equipment cannot be directly used for newly added gas varieties. Therefore, the Khalapur project separately constructed relevant debulking and blending facilities. After this commissioning, the site has added cryogenic media, ISO tank, and semiconductor and specialty gas handling capabilities.
The project implementation timeline went through three milestones: equipment installation, commissioning, and commercial operation. The company completed plant and machinery installation at the end of August, began trial operation and commissioning in the first week of September, and officially commenced commercial operation on September 21. The company's announcement submitted to the exchange did not disclose the first batch of customers, the specific gas product mix, individual gas capacity, current capacity utilization, or the subsequent expansion timetable.
Stallion's previously disclosed IPO proceeds utilization materials show that, as of December 31, 2025, the company had used approximately INR 15.829 million of the raised funds for the Khalapur semiconductor and specialty gas project, and continued to advance equipment procurement and installation thereafter. The company had adjusted the completion time of the project's capital expenditure to the end of June 2026, after which it continued to complete equipment installation and commissioning and entered commercial operation in September.
