en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 21, US precision metalworking company Axis Fabrication & Machine announced that its new manufacturing plant in Rockford, Tennessee, has been completed and put into operation. The project represents a total investment of US$24 million and covers a building area of approximately 7,246 square meters, an increase of about 73% over its previous 4,181-square-meter production facility. The new plant focuses on expanding precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, and automated processing capabilities. Production operations were relocated to the new facility in the summer of 2026, with a formal grand opening ceremony scheduled for November 4.

The new plant consolidates sheet metal processing, machining, and material storage into a single configuration, with equipment positions, production floor layout, and material flow routes redesigned. The company established a layout model for each piece of production equipment to determine the positional relationships between processing equipment and each process step, and integrated the previously separate material warehouse into the new facility to reduce the transfer of production materials between buildings.

In the sheet processing area, the plant is equipped with an automated vertical storage system connected to two laser cutting machines, capable of storing 30 different types of materials and automatically delivering the required sheets to the laser processing equipment according to production tasks. The production facility has also expanded its sheet metal processing and precision machining equipment, enabling it to handle larger-volume component production orders.

The plant also upgraded lighting, security, and employee training facilities, and added space for production meetings and process planning. The security monitoring system uses AI recognition technology that can trigger an alarm when a person is detected falling. The production floor improves material retrieval and process flow efficiency through centralized material storage and adjusted processing equipment layout.

Founded in 1989, Axis Fabrication & Machine provides CNC machining, precision sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, welding, and metal component production. Following the launch of the new plant, the company will continue to undertake customized component processing and volume manufacturing for industrial customers, and will open the facility on November 4 for visits by customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
