en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 26, China Zhejiang Jianglan Bioenergy signed a cooperation agreement with Italian biofuel company Biofuels Partners to carry out international supply chain cooperation centered on used cooking oil, hydrotreated vegetable oil, and sustainable aviation fuel. Jianglan Bioenergy's 300,000-ton-per-year hydrotreated vegetable oil and sustainable aviation fuel (HVO-SAF) project in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, will serve as an important industrial foundation for the two parties to advance feedstock supply, product sales, and international market cooperation.

Jianglan Bioenergy's industrial layout covers used cooking oil collection, feedstock pretreatment, and renewable fuel production, supported by pretreatment facilities with an annual processing capacity of 300,000 tons of used cooking oil and a 300,000-ton-per-year HVO-SAF production unit. The pretreatment stage adopts Desmet process technology from Europe, and the fuel production stage adopts the HydroFlex hydrogenation process from Denmark's Topsoe, forming a process chain from waste oil and fat processing to renewable fuel production.

Topsoe provides HydroFlex technology licensing, engineering technical services, and proprietary catalysts for the Zhoushan project. The process produces renewable fuels from bio-based feedstocks such as waste oils and fats, and the project's products include hydrotreated vegetable oil and sustainable aviation fuel. Under the previously arranged technical cooperation, the project's sustainable aviation fuel products are intended for the European market.

Under the cooperation agreement, Biofuels Partners will participate in feedstock procurement channel development, international commercial cooperation, sustainability certification support, and market expansion. The scope of cooperation between the two parties includes used cooking oil (UCO) supply, construction of HVO-SAF product sales channels, and business cooperation related to the renewable fuel industry chain. Feedstock source records, supply chain traceability management, and third-party sustainability certification will be incorporated into the cooperation arrangements.

During the Global Sustainable Aviation Fuel Market and Sustainability Certification Summit held in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, China, Paolo Corvo, Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Biofuels Partners, conducted business exchanges with the Jianglan Bioenergy team and visited Jianglan's newly built HVO-SAF production facilities. The two parties carried out coordination on feedstock source tracking, supply chain management, product certification, and international market access.
