en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 30, Tongwei Solar launched the 500W configuration of its TNC 2.0 FULLX G12R-48 PV module for the Australian market and showcased it at the All Energy Australia 2026 exhibition. The module features a 48-cell design, a maximum power of 500W, a conversion efficiency of 25.02%, and dimensions of 1762 mm × 1134 mm × 30 mm, primarily targeting residential rooftop PV applications.

Compared with conventional 475W TOPCon modules, this product increases power per module by 25W. Under the same rooftop area, it can increase system installed capacity. Taking a rooftop system composed of 14 modules as an example, the 500W configuration can achieve a total installed capacity of 7kW, higher than the 6.65kW of the 475W module solution.

Test data from Tongwei's Yancheng testing base show that the module's power generation per watt is on average 3.3% higher than that of conventional BC modules in the tests, with generation gains reaching up to 12.32% during low-light periods in the early morning and evening. The product is available in two appearance designs—all-black and black-framed—to meet the installation and aesthetic needs of different residential rooftops.

According to Tongwei's estimates, based on installation in 2026, an STC certificate price of AUD 40 per certificate, and a five-year conversion period, 14 500W modules can increase installed capacity by approximately 0.35kW compared with the 475W module solution and bring approximately AUD 80 to 120 in additional upfront STC rebates, with the specific amount depending on the installation region, project eligibility, and certificate price.
