Construction begins on Accelink Technologies' 166,300-square-meter optoelectronics project in Wuhan, China

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 1, Phase I of the high-end optoelectronics and silicon photonics chip device industrialization project of Accelink Technologies officially broke ground in the East Lake Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The project is organized and implemented by Accelink Technologies Co., Ltd., covers approximately 35,000 square meters, has a planned total gross floor area of 166,300 square meters, a construction period of 14 months, and is scheduled to complete final acceptance by the end of 2027.

This phase will construct two high-grade cleanrooms, one intelligent warehousing and logistics center, one high-energy-efficiency utility power station building, and one employee center, along with employee dormitories and other ancillary facilities. The project will be equipped with advanced processes and automated production equipment to carry out R&D and large-scale manufacturing of high-end optoelectronic devices and silicon photonics chip devices.

According to the project plan, products will cover 800G to 12.8T high-speed optical modules and optical engines, 320×320-port optical circuit switching (OCS) equipment, 32-dimensional wavelength selective switches (WSS), and other optical communication and optical interconnect products. Once the project reaches full production, it is expected to produce more than 10 million high-speed optical modules annually, and to conduct R&D and industrialization around next-generation pluggable optical modules, CPO/NPO optical engines, and all-optical switching products.

Under the current construction schedule, the project is planned to complete final acceptance by the end of 2027, with production equipment installation and commissioning and capacity release proceeding in parallel. After the new construction is completed, the total gross floor area of this Accelink Technologies industrial base is expected to approach 370,000 square meters.
