In related developments, MITSUI E&S Co., Ltd. signed an agreement in November to develop and implement a new operational service platform at the Shimizu Port Container Terminal. The initiative is expected to enhance terminal efficiency and support continued growth in container handling capacity.
Shimizu Port continues to serve as an important gateway for central Japan's manufacturing and consumer markets, benefiting from steady demand for both export-oriented industries and import distribution networks. The sustained increase in container volumes underscores the port's growing role in regional and international supply chains.
