Wedoany.com Report-Dec.10, Google Cloud has been selected by the U.S. Department of Defense's Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) to deploy Gemini for Government as the first enterprise artificial intelligence platform on the GenAI.mil environment. The solution will be available to more than three million civilian and military personnel across the Department of Defense (DoD).

Gemini for Government combines Google's FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Level 5 (IL5) authorized cloud infrastructure with advanced AI models and agentic capabilities tailored for government use. It supports unclassified business processes while maintaining strict data sovereignty controls, ensuring that DoD data remains isolated and is never used to train public models.

Key features include enterprise-grade search, automated document summarization, compliance checklist generation, contract analysis, and operational risk assessment. These tools are designed to streamline administrative workflows, accelerate decision-making, and support the modernization of legacy systems.

The platform will operate at IL5 authorization on GenAI.mil, providing a secure, software-defined sovereign cloud environment that meets the DoD's stringent security and data protection requirements.
