Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has recently officially opened an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) research and development innovation center. This center was established through a collaboration between the Kazakh National University and Aerial Solutions LLP.

The newly established technology innovation center plans to develop domestic UAV models, establish training and production laboratories along with testing grounds, and implement dual education and certification programs. Furthermore, the center will carry out research and development projects involving both faculty and students, and engage in the production of UAVs.
It is worth mentioning that the center also plans to launch UAVs and related services in both domestic and international markets, and support innovative startups in achieving commercialization. The implementation of this project will strengthen Kazakhstan's digital infrastructure and significantly advance the implementation of the national strategy for the civilian UAV aviation sector in Kazakhstan.
