South Korea's Ssangyong Engineering & Construction announced on the 26th that it has secured a contract to build a large residential complex project in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project is commissioned by WASL, a state-owned real estate development company in Dubai, with a total construction cost of approximately $250 million.
The residential complex project is located in a key development area in downtown Dubai, approximately a 10-minute drive from Dubai International Airport. The project will construct two residential towers of 43 and 37 stories respectively, forming a comprehensive residential area integrated with office and commercial facilities. The construction period is 32 months.
Ssangyong Engineering & Construction stated that winning this contract is based on the trust established through the successful completion of a project for the same client in 2022. The company also noted that as of last year, it has successfully completed 12 projects in Dubai; currently, there are 6 projects under construction locally, with a total value of approximately 1.3 trillion won.
