Gulf Air recently announced plans to add two new seasonal international air routes to its network in summer 2026, flying to Malaga, Spain and Al Alamain, Egypt. This move aims to meet the growing demand for summer travel to Mediterranean and coastal destinations from tourists in Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council member states.

The two new international air routes will operate via Bahrain International Airport, with two flights per week each. The flights to Malaga will operate from June 17 to September 25, 2026, while the flights to Al Alamain are scheduled to run from June 18 to August 30, 2026. The launch of these international air routes will provide passengers with convenient direct access to two popular holiday destinations, while further strengthening Bahrain's position as a regional aviation hub.
These international air routes are a key part of Gulf Air's summer leisure travel expansion strategy for 2026. They will complement the previously announced seasonal routes to Geneva and Nice, which include a stop in Milan, offering passengers more diverse travel options. Gulf Air has already opened bookings for these international air routes across all its sales channels, allowing passengers to plan their trips in advance.
