Wedoany.com Report on Feb 10th, Robotiq recently released the TSF-85 tactile sensor fingertip. This TSF-85 tactile sensor fingertip product is specifically developed for the 2F-85 adaptive gripper, aiming to integrate tactile perception capabilities into physical AI systems.

The TSF-85 sensor fingertip is designed for AI training labs, humanoid robots, and industrial physical AI application scenarios, enabling immediate deployment.
Based on a patented mechanical structure, the 2F-85 adaptive gripper offers two modes: pinch and wrap grasping, with stroke lengths of 85 mm and 140 mm respectively. This design allows the gripper to adaptively adjust to object shapes, simplifying grasp planning and reducing reliance on vision systems.
Through the native RS-485 communication interface and USB conversion board, the 2F adaptive gripper can be easily integrated into existing systems, supporting flexible applications across different robot brands and research platforms.
Robotiq stated that this adaptive gripper technology can serve as a foundation for reinforcement learning, vision-language-action models, and imitation learning operations, aiding integration into AI workflows to enhance the overall performance of physical AI systems.
