Driven by increased market demand and efficient asset utilization, the company achieved its best-ever performance across refining, marketing, and pipeline segments over the nine-month period.

During the April to December period, IOCL processed 55.719 million metric tonnes of crude oil, a 5% increase from 53.016 million metric tonnes in the same period last year. Total sales volume reached 77.774 million metric tonnes, higher than last year's 74.347 million metric tonnes, indicating a steady upward trend in fuel consumption.

IOCL's domestic petroleum sales grew by 4.3%, slightly outpacing the industry average of 4.1%, strengthening its market position. High-Speed Diesel institutional sales surged by 27.9%, significantly higher than the industry growth rate of 9.7%, reflecting increased demand from bulk consumers and the industrial sector.

The petrochemicals business also maintained its growth momentum, with domestic sales rising 3% to 2.411 million metric tonnes, supported by improved downstream demand and an expanded distribution network.

Operational efficiency was a key driver of the improved performance. IOCL's refinery throughput of 55.719 million metric tonnes, with a capacity utilization rate of 105%, achieved asset optimization. Its cross-country pipeline network transported 77.90 million metric tonnes, a 4% year-on-year increase, ensuring the smooth movement of crude oil and petroleum products across the nation. Furthermore, the company made progress in natural gas sales, exports, and petrochemicals, further diversifying its energy portfolio.
