Project Overview:

The project is located 40 kilometers northwest of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq. It is the largest and highest-standard industrial wastewater treatment plant in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. This marks a new level for Poten Enviro in the water market of Middle Eastern countries, while also accumulating valuable experience in project implementation under desert climate conditions. The effluent quality of the wastewater treatment exceeds expectations, with indicators such as BOD5, SS, and pH all meeting the requirements for secondary wastewater treatment under Section 304(d) of the U.S. Public Law 92-500. The final effluent from the wastewater treatment plant is directly discharged into the Tigris River.
