Application Scope
The TH-ZX100 automatic permanganate index water quality analyzer is a device independently developed by our company for measuring the permanganate index in water. It is suitable for online and offline detection of surface water, pollution source water quality, industrial and municipal wastewater, and sewage.
Instrument Principle
The instrument uses permanganate oxidation-ORP electrode method. A known amount of potassium permanganate solution and sulfuric acid solution are added to the sample, heated for 30 minutes, during which potassium permanganate oxidizes organic pollutants and inorganic reducing substances in the sample. Then excess sodium oxalate solution is added to reduce the remaining potassium permanganate, and the excess sodium oxalate is back-titrated with potassium permanganate solution. The COD value is calculated automatically.
