Instrument Principle

Atmospheric samples are drawn into the unique collection-separation device GAC after passing through the cutter. Gaseous pollutants are absorbed by the wet annular denuder due to their extremely fast diffusion rate, while aerosols pass through the denuder under inertial force, enter the aerosol humidification growth chamber, and are finally captured by the aerosol collection device. The absorption liquid for gaseous pollutants and the aqueous solution of aerosols are alternately delivered to the ion chromatograph IC for comprehensive component analysis.

Application Scope

This system can online collect and analyze 10 water-soluble ions in atmospheric fine particulate matter: F⁻, Cl⁻, NO₂⁻, NO₃⁻, SO₄²⁻, Na⁺, NH₄⁺, K⁺, Mg²⁺, Ca²⁺, and 6 gaseous pollutants: HF, HCl, HONO, HNO₃, SO₂, NH₃, etc. The system has wide application fields, supporting routine monitoring of water-soluble components in fine particulate matter by environmental monitoring departments, comprehensive monitoring and evaluation of regional atmospheric environment by atmospheric supersites, as well as in-depth scientific research by universities and research institutes.

Instrument Features

•   Self-designed wet annular denuder with measurable and maintainable liquid level, effectively separating gaseous pollutants and aerosol samples with separation efficiency up to 98%.

•   Self-designed quantitative steam generator and three-stage gas cooling trap device for more uniform and stable heating, enabling long-term, continuous, residue-free collection of high-temperature and high-humidity gas with collection efficiency up to 99%.

•   Time resolution of 60min, with gaseous pollutants and aerosols collected for 30min each and alternately injected for analysis, enabling full-time online analysis.

•   Optional domestic or imported ion chromatograph.
