  • Application

SCST-253 methanol synthesis catalyst is mainly suitable for methanol synthesis units using natural gas, coke oven gas, refinery gas, naphtha, coal, oilfield gas, etc. as feedstock under pressure conditions of 3~8 MPa.

The main reactions are as follows:

CO +2H2= CH3OH      + 90.69 kJ/mol

CO2 + 3H2 = CH3OH+H2O    + 49.53 kJ/mol

  • Catalyst Characteristics

The catalyst has the characteristics of good low-temperature activity and good high-temperature stability. In addition to being suitable for different feedstocks, it is also suitable for different types of synthesis towers;

Good high-temperature activity, can operate for more than three years under bed temperature conditions of 240~270°C;

High strength of the finished catalyst, low strength decline rate after reduction, no obvious increase in resistance when used in axial-radial furnaces;

Good sulfur resistance, and promoters protect the active centers, so the catalyst activity does not attenuate under short-term high sulfur content.

 

  • Packaging, Storage and Transportation

The finished catalyst is packed in plastic drums or iron drums lined with plastic bags. During transportation and storage, it must be protected from moisture, fire, inverted placement and strictly prohibited from chemical contamination. Rolling or impact is strictly prohibited during handling; when stored outdoors, place sleepers at the bottom and cover with canvas for rain protection; it can also be packed in ton bags according to user requirements.
