Ammonia Decomposition Catalyst SCST-405 Good Activity, Strong Anti-Toxicity, Not Easy to Pulverize
- Application
SCST-405 series ammonia decomposition to hydrogen catalyst is used to decompose ammonia under the action of catalyst when liquid ammonia is heated to 780~880°C, to obtain a hydrogen-nitrogen mixed gas containing 75% H2 and 25% N2. The main reaction is as follows:
2NH3 = 3H2+N2 +92.4 kJ/mol

- Application Fields
Ammonia decomposition to hydrogen units;
Natural gas secondary reforming to hydrogen units;
Coke oven gas to synthesis ammonia units;
Coke oven gas to methanol units.
- Catalyst Characteristics
Good activity, ammonia decomposition rate can reach more than 90%;
Strong anti-toxicity, not easy to pulverize, slow activity attenuation of the catalyst under long-term high-temperature operating conditions;
Good low-temperature activity, significant energy savings, with obvious activity at 750°C;
Reasonable shape structure, more uniform gas flow distribution, low operating resistance, strong selectivity.
- Packaging, Storage and Transportation
The finished catalyst is packed in plastic drums or iron drums lined with plastic bags. During transportation and storage, it must be protected from moisture, fire, inverted placement and strictly prohibited from chemical contamination. Rolling or impact is strictly prohibited during handling; when stored outdoors, place sleepers at the bottom and cover with canvas for rain protection; it can also be packed in ton bags according to user requirements.
