- Application
SCST-201 and SCST-202 hydrocarbon steam primary reforming catalysts are suitable for the reforming section of synthesis ammonia, methanol and hydrogen production units using natural gas or methane-rich gas as feedstock. They are a new type of energy-saving primary reforming catalyst. The two models of catalysts are usually used in combination, with SCST-201 loaded in the upper section of the reformer tube and SCST-202 loaded in the lower section of the reformer tube. The main reactions are as follows:
CH4 + H20=CO+3H2 -206.3 kJ/mol
CO+H20=CO2+H2 +41.19 kJ/mol
CH4 + 2H20=CO2+4H2 -165.3 kJ/mol

- Application Fields
Natural gas to synthesis hydrogen, methanol, hydrogen production units;
Coke oven gas to synthesis ammonia, methanol, hydrogen production units;
Catalytic dry gas, coking dry gas to hydrogen units (better results when combined with our company's SCST-111 pre-reforming catalyst if there is a large amount of higher hydrocarbons in the gas);
Oilfield gas, refinery gas, naphtha, etc. as feedstock for methanol, synthesis ammonia units (better results when combined with our company's SCST-111 pre-reforming catalyst if there is a large amount of higher hydrocarbons in the gas).
- Product Characteristics
Anti-carbon promoters are added to the upper section catalyst to ensure long-term stable operation under low steam-to-carbon ratio conditions;
Good low-temperature activity, with obvious activity at 400°C, good low-temperature activity;
High mechanical strength, which can ensure that the resistance of the catalyst does not increase significantly throughout its service life;
The catalyst adopts a porous shape with high opening rate and reasonable shape, and the bed operating resistance is more than 15% lower than other catalysts;

- Packaging, Storage and Transportation
The finished catalyst is packed in plastic drums or iron drums lined with plastic bags. During transportation and storage, it must be protected from moisture, fire, inverted placement and strictly prohibited from chemical contamination. Rolling or impact is strictly prohibited during handling; when stored outdoors, place sleepers at the bottom and cover with canvas for rain protection; it can also be packed in ton bags according to user requirements.
