- Application and Principle
SCST-242 methanation catalyst is suitable for methanation units that use feedstock rich in CO, CO2 and H2 to produce synthetic natural gas (SNG), compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG); the product performance is equivalent to similar foreign products and can completely replace them.
- Catalyst Characteristics
Strong high-hydrocarbon conversion capability: SCST-242 complete methanation catalyst has strong conversion capability for higher hydrocarbons, which not only increases CH4 production but also prevents carbon deposition from multi-carbon hydrocarbon cracking;
High selectivity and conversion rate: basically no by-products are generated in the converted gas, and CO is nearly completely converted;
Excellent heat resistance: the catalyst can operate for a long time under conditions of 250~750°C without shrinkage or deformation, the mechanical strength of the catalyst is stable and not easy to break;
Good strength and wear resistance: special promoters are added to the catalyst, the catalyst itself has high strength and good wear resistance, which can effectively reduce the breakage and wear of the catalyst during use, so that the catalyst bed can maintain a small and stable pressure drop.
