  • Application

SCST-241 methanation catalyst is used for the process of converting CO, CO2 and H2 in synthesis gas such as natural gas, coke oven gas and coal gas into CH4. It is mainly used for deep purification to make CO+CO2 in the gas ≤10ppm. After modification, it is also suitable for units synthesizing CNG, LNG, etc. with coal and coke oven gas as feedstock, with a conversion rate of more than 99.9999%. The main reactions are as follows:

CO+3H2= CH4+H2O    -206.2 kJ/mol

CO2+4H2 = CH4+2H2O   -165 kJ/mol

  • Application Fields

Deep purification units for CO+CO2 in natural gas to synthesis hydrogen and hydrogen production;

Deep purification units for CO+CO2 in coke oven gas to synthesis ammonia and hydrogen production;

Deep purification units for CO+CO2 in catalytic dry gas and coking dry gas;

Deep purification units for CO+CO2 in oilfield gas, refinery gas, naphtha, etc. as feedstock;

Coal, coke oven gas, etc. to LNG, CNG units.

 

  • Catalyst Characteristics

Short reduction time, gas can be introduced in 22 hours, saving reduction time and reducing energy consumption;

Resistant to high pressure and high space velocity, the space velocity can reach 15000h-1 under 32MPa pressure;

New promoters added, high conversion rate, good low-temperature activity, outlet generally lower than 5ppm;

The body does not contain physical water, low volume shrinkage rate, low strength decline rate after reduction.

 

  • Packaging, Storage and Transportation

The finished catalyst is packed in plastic drums or iron drums lined with plastic bags. During transportation and storage, it must be protected from moisture, fire, inverted placement and strictly prohibited from chemical contamination. Rolling or impact is strictly prohibited during handling; when stored outdoors, place sleepers at the bottom and cover with canvas for rain protection; it can also be packed in ton bags according to user requirements.
