Product Introduction

The intermediate joint is used to connect two cables. Its main function is to restore the cable’s performance, ensure the extension of the cable length, and allow for safe and reliable operation. Based on the cable’s metal shielding connection method, the joint can be categorized into through joints and insulating joints.

Through joints are used for direct cable-to-cable connections. The metal sheath, grounding shield, and insulation shield of the cable are electrically connected, used in applications where the cable line is directly grounded.

Insulating joints electrically disconnect the metal sheath, grounding shield, and insulation shield of the cable, used in cable lines with crossover or interchanging installations, reducing sheath loss.

110kV insulating joints and through joints are suitable for 240mm²-1600mm²;

220kV insulating joints and through joints are suitable for 400mm²-2500mm².
