On February 25, a ceremony for the concentrated commencement of major projects was held in Wangcheng District, Changsha, China, marking the official start of construction for the Aibot Robotics Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park project. This signifies the launch of Hunan's first production line for embodied intelligent quadruped robotic dogs, adding new momentum to Changsha's development in the fields of artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing.

At the commencement ceremony, robotic dog demonstrations became the focal point. Wu Guiying, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, specially investigated the project's progress, observed demonstrations of robotic dog prototypes, and learned about technological innovations and product applications. She expressed confidence in the prospects of artificial intelligence and encouraged the enterprise, stating: "Make greater progress in tackling key core technologies and their industrial application to seize the high ground in industry development." Zhang Min, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission, announced the concentrated commencement, with several leaders from Wangcheng District in attendance.
The Aibot Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park has a total investment of 500 million yuan, covers an area of 50 mu, and will be constructed in two phases. The core of the project is Hunan's first production line for embodied intelligent quadruped robotic dogs, which is expected to officially commence operation after this year's National Day. Upon reaching full production capacity, it will achieve an annual output of 50,000 robotic dogs. The robotic dog samples displayed on-site are capable of performing tasks such as walking, inspection, and patrol, with future applications in outdoor inspection, security patrols, and other fields.
In addition to robotic dogs, the new industrial park will also accommodate businesses in Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and AI large models. The AMR products integrate technologies such as laser navigation and TOF cameras, can lift loads of 1.5 tons, have already served several listed companies in China, and entered markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The AI large model business drives the intelligent upgrade of products. Currently, Aibot's products cover multiple industries within China and have expanded overseas, with an output value of nearly 300 million yuan from 2024 to 2025. The new industrial park is expected to achieve an output value exceeding 800 million yuan upon reaching full production capacity.
This concentrated commencement in Wangcheng District involves 35 major projects with a total investment of 12.661 billion yuan, covering areas such as advanced manufacturing and industrial upgrading. The landing of the Aibot project reflects Wangcheng's strategy of focusing on high-tech industries and effective investment, providing support for Changsha's goal of building itself into a global R&D center city. As the exhibition booth gives way to the robotic dog production line, intelligent manufacturing is transforming from concept to reality, showcasing a new chapter in technological innovation and urban development.
