en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced that it has completed the acceptance of all 15 Yellow Line metro train sets procured from the Titagarh Rail Systems-CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Consortium (Titagarh Rail Systems-CRRC Consortium).
On July 27, the last train set was unloaded at the Hebbagodi Depot, marking the full delivery of all 15 six-car train sets serving the Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line (RV Road—Bommasandra, 19 km in length).
Currently, BMRCL has put the 13th train set into passenger service. According to BMRCL officials who spoke to local media, the 14th train set has completed testing and is undergoing mandatory operational trials; the 15th train set is expected to enter commercial operation by August 21, 2026.
As the full fleet gradually enters service, Yellow Line passengers are also calling for increased operational frequency. Currently, the train interval during peak hours on the Yellow Line is about 7 minutes, and about 10 minutes during off-peak hours. Commuters, especially those on the section connecting Electronics City, a key IT industrial area in Bengaluru, have been looking forward to shorter waiting times.
